Sebastian Revan (born 14 July 2003) is an English footballer who plays as a left back for Grimsby Town, on loan from Premier League team Aston Villa.
Having made his debut in Villa's EFL Trophy campaign in 2020–21, he was also part of the winning FA Youth Cup team of the same season, he has also been called up to represent the England national under-18 football team but so far remains uncapped.
Club Career
Revan made his competitive Aston Villa debut in the EFL Trophy on 8 September 2020 in what turned out to be a heavy 8–1 defeat for the U21 side at the Stadium of Light against Sunderland. Revan played the full 90 minutes alongside his brother Dominic in defence.
He also played in Villa U21's EFL defeats against Fleetwood Town and Carlisle United.
After being a regular starter in Mark Delaney's Under 23 team he was awarded a full professional contract on 3 March 2021.
On 24 May 2021, Revan played the full 90 minutes in Villa's FA Youth Cup final win over Liverpool, a deflected shot cannoned off Revan and into the back of the net to give Liverpool a late goal but Villa held out to win the game 2–1.
Revan played in Villa's first team during their first two pre-season friendlies against Stoke City and Walsall On 28 July 2021, Revan signed for Grimsby Town on a season-long loan, Mariners boss Paul Hurst said upon signing him "He's a player that I watched towards the end of last season after I was made aware of him, he was part of the FA Youth Cup-winning team, I watched the semi-final and final and he certainly impressed in those games and so did a lot of his teammates" Hurst was impressed with Revan after he bagged an assist in his first appearance for the Mariners in 1-0 pre-season win over Alfreton Town, with Hurst saying Revan could have a more attacking role in the team for the forthcoming season.
Revan made his League debut for Grimsby in a 0–0 draw against Stockport County on 31 August 2021.
