Moissy-Cramayel Stadium

Moissy-Cramayel (French pronunciation: [mwasi kʁamajɛl] (listen)) is a commune in the Seine-et-Marne department in the Ile-de-France region in north-central France. It is located in the metropolitan area of Paris, 33 km (21 mi) southeast from the center of Paris, in the "new town" of Senart, created in the 1970s.

Moissy-Cramayel is one of the satellite towns of Paris, being separated from the urban area of Paris by some agricultural land. However, with the rapid growth of the area of Senart, of which Moissy-Cramayel is a central component, it is expected that in the near future Moissy-Cramayel, like the other communes of Senart, will become physically linked to the urban area of Paris.

Its inhabitants are called Moisseens.

History

During the French Revolution, Moissy-Cramayel was temporarily renamed Moissy-la-Plaine, meaning "Moissy the Plain".
