Miguel Acosta

Miguel Acosta Mateos (born 16 March 1998) is a Spanish professional footballer who plays as a right-back for Canadian club Atletico Ottawa.

Club Career

Atletico Madrid

Acosta joined the academy of La Liga club Atletico Madrid in 2010. On 29 January 2017, he made his senior debut with the B team in the Tercera Division against Union Adarve. He went on to make eight appearances for the B team that season.

Getafe B

In summer 2017, Acosta signed with fellow Tercera Division side Getafe B, and went on to make 38 appearances that season, scoring two goals. The following season, he made 33 league appearances and one in the promotion play-offs to the Segunda Division B. During the 2019–20 season, after the team was promoted, Acosta made seventeen appearances.

Atletico Baleares

In summer 2020, Acosta switched to Atletico Baleares, making thirteen appearances.

Atletico Ottawa

On 20 May 2021, Acosta signed with Canadian Premier League side Atletico Ottawa, a club owned by Atletico Madrid.
