Who is Caoimhin Kelleher? The Liverpool man who could start against Leeds

The 22-year-old is Alisson's understudy at Anfield and it seems that an opportunity could be just around the corner for the Republic Of Ireland international.

With his teammate currently set to miss the Leeds match he could get another chance to impress.

Brazil have attempted to ban eight internationals, including goalkeeper Alisson, from featuring in the Premier League this weekend.

Several teams stopped their South American stars from accepting call-ups and now Brazil, amongst others, want to stop those stars turning out for their clubs.

As a result, Alisson could miss out for the Reds at Elland Road this weekend but for Kelleher, it's a chance that he'll be ready for.

A product of Liverpool's youth academy, the goalkeeper has really kicked on since progressing into the first-team fold in 2018.

His first taste of senior action came in the biggest game of them all as Kelleher was named as a substitute for the 2019 Champions League final against Tottenham Hotspur, a match that the Reds won.

The 2019/20 campaign saw the young stopper get his first-team debut in an EFL Cup clash against MK Dons and he kept a clean sheet in the process.

He made three League Cup appearances that season, as well as featuring in the FA Cup fourth round replay against Shrewsbury Town.

Kelleher made five Liverpool appearances last term, including two Premier League starts and two starts in the Champions League, one of which was against Dutch giants Ajax.

With nine first-team starts to his name it seems that the 22-year-old could be set for another taste of senior action this weekend and Kelleher will surely be keen to prove his talents to Klopp once again.
