Ben White believes Arsenal have proven that they are genuine Premier League title contenders following their electric start to the season and win over Liverpool.
The Gunners have started the new campaign superbly under Mikel Arteta and claimed their biggest scalp yet with a huge 3-2 victory over the Reds on Sunday. Gabriel Martinelli fired Arsenal into the lead after just 60 seconds, before Liverpool restored parity through Darwin Nunez. Bukayo Saka regained Arsenal's advantage on the stroke of half-time, but Liverpool again fought back through Roberto Firmino.
With time running out, Saka showed nerves of steel to dispatch a late penalty to clinch three points and a statement victory.
The result means Arsenal have leapfrogged Manchester City at the summit of the Premier League after winning eight of their nine league matches so far this term.
That has resulted in many people tipping the Gunners to challenge Manchester City for the domestic crown. Arteta has been reluctant to talk up his side's title chances at this stage of the season, but White, who excelled at right-back against Liverpool, was far more enthusiastic and insisted that he doesn't see any reason why Arsenal cannot win the title.
"The way we're going, we're doing well," White told beIN SPORTS after the match when he was quizzed on Arsenal's title chances. "Game by game - why not?"

He added: "I think this squad is fantastic. I don't think there's anyone getting ahead of themselves. You can see that in the training we do during the week. It's game by game, we're not looking too far ahead."
Arsenal's big win over Liverpool comes off the back of the Gunners' impressive 3-1 triumph in the North London Derby last weekend. But Arsenal have struggled against the Reds in recent years.
Prior to Sunday's result, Arsenal had beaten Liverpool just once in the league since the 2015/16 campaign. Last year, Klopp's side overcame the Gunners comprehensively home and away in the Premier League and extinguished their League Cup hopes over two legs.
Arsenal exacted revenge over their rivals in style on Sunday to outline their title credentials - and White believes that the result highlighted the fearless mentality of the current group.
He added: "Playing against Liverpool is always tough. In recent years, we haven't gotten the results we wanted. This year is different. I don't think there's any fear in our team, we're all young and hungry to be the best, so that's what we're trying to do."
