Freiburg could play with a less expansive style than usual after their heavy defeat at the weekend, with both teams potentially cancelling each other out as a result.

Moreover, with so much at stake in terms of influencing the top-four race, neither manager will want to lose ground on each other in the table, so a share of the spoils seems the most likely outcome on Wednesday.

Augsburg vs. Borussia M'bach (Wednesday, 7.30pm)

Relegation candidates Augsburg welcome Borussia Monchengladbach to the WWK Arena on Wednesday evening in the latest round of Bundesliga matches.

Enrico Maassen's side find themselves above the relegation playoff position only because of a superior goalscoring record compared to Stuttgart, while the Foals remain in pursuit of their maiden away league victory of the 2022-23 campaign.
