The Ligue 1 champions have allegedly made the Argentina international surplus to requirements ahead of the new season, which has led to a host of talk surrounding his future.
However, according to Foot Mercato, Icardi has no desire to leave the French giants this summer despite the fact that he could struggle for action during the 2022-23 campaign.
The report claims that the striker is 'well settled on a comfortable contract' in Paris and is prepared to remain at the club even if he is not in the plans of the new head coach Christophe Galtier.
Icardi, who still has two years left to run on his deal, made 30 appearances at club level last season, finding the back of the net on four occasions.
Elsewhere, Crystal Palace are reportedly on the verge of securing the signature of Bayern Munich defender Chris Richards.
According to The Guardian, Patrick Vieira's side have agreed a £10m deal with Bayern for the 22-year-old, who has spent the last 18 months on loan with Hoffenheim.
Richards, who has been capped on eight occasions by the United States, has only made 10 first-team appearances for his current side.
The report claims that the defender is set to pen a five-year contract with the Eagles, having already undergone a medical with the Premier League club on Thursday.
Meanwhile, Bordeaux striker Hwang Ui-jo has claimed that West Ham United have offered him the chance to move to the Premier League club this summer.
The Hammers are looking to sign a new centre-forward in the current market, with Chelsea's Armando Broja and Sassuolo's Gianluca Scamacca said to be targets for the club.
However, Ui-jo has claimed that he is also a target for David Moyes's side.
"I am waiting, nothing is decided yet. There will be more details to give you depending on the financial situation of the team. It is true that offers have arrived from Nantes and West Ham as well," he told reporters.
The 29-year-old, who only has 12 months left to run on his contract at Bordeaux, scored 11 times and registered two assists in 32 Ligue 1 appearances last season.
Elsewhere, former Manchester United attacker Nani has urged Cristiano Ronaldo to stay at Old Trafford this summer.
"I hope (he will stay). He's an important player and a player who always makes a difference. I hope he's in a good mood to help the club," Nani told reporters after his Melbourne Victory side faced the Red Devils in a pre-season contest last week.
"I tried to talk to him but when he's on vacation he doesn't answer the phone. He said, "I'm so busy now, we'll talk soon"."
Ronaldo is yet to report to pre-season training for Man United, with the 37-year-old believed to have told the club that he wants to leave during the summer transfer window.
Atletico Madrid are the latest club to be linked with the forward, with Bayern Munich, Chelsea, PSG and Real Madrid all believed to be out of the running for his signature.
