Chelsea will go for Sterling if they offload Lukaku
Chelsea are planning a bid for Manchester City forward Raheem Sterling. Thomas Tuchel will look to lure Sterling away from the Etihad this summer as the 27-year-old is yet to sign a new contract with the Premier League champions. However, Chelsea will only move for Sterling if they manage to offload Romelu Lukaku back to Inter, according to The Mirror.
Chelsea want a loan deal for around 20m euros and for Inter to cover most, if not all, of Lukaku's wages. However, Inter's starting offer is said to be a fee of 7m euros. As a result, Lukaku is willing to take a significant pay cut to help make the switch happen. If Lukaku returns to Italy, Chelsea will go after Sterling.
