The Young Lions beat Spain 1-0 in Saturday' final to end England's 39-year wait for the title.
Liverpool midfielder Jones scored the only goal of the game after he inadvertently deflected Cole Palmer's free-kick into the bottom left corner.
But it was Manchester City goalkeeper Trafford who was the real hero for Lee Carsley's side, with the 20-year-old keeping out a stoppage-time penalty from Abel Ruiz.
He then reacted quickly to keep out Aimar Oroz's follow-up, before Sergio Camello blazed a third attempt high over the bar.
Trafford - who is closing in on a £19million transfer to newly-promoted Burnley - was mobbed by his jubilant teammates immediately after.

The clip started by showing those watching on from the sidelines waiting for referee Espen Eskas to blow the full-time whistle, with Arsenal's Emile Smith Rowe screaming in delight.
A joyous Levi Colwill then came into the shot, before the camera followed Smith Rowe and the majority of the England squad darting towards Trafford for a pile-on.
Nottingham Forest's Morgan Gibbs-White then could be seen embracing with Lille's Angel Gomes, with the latter heard shouting, 'we done it'.
