8: Lucy Bronze - England
Bronze is arguably the best full-back around and played a key role in England winning the Euros last year.
She is currently carrying a knock and is a doubt for the Lionesses' opener against Haiti live on talkSPORT, but if fit, she will have another excellent tournament.
7: Alex Morgan - USA
The 34-year-old is the face of women's football and has transcended the sport to become a cultural icon.
But she is still a deadly forward on the pitch and will be out to help USA claim back-to-back World Cup wins.
6: Marta - Brazil
Marta Viera da Silva was once recognised as the world's best female footballer and she boasts a staggering World Cup record.
Brazil's top goalscorer holds the record for the most goals in the Women's World Cup having knocked in 17.
Her strikes in 2019 ensured that she was the first and only footballer to score in five editions before Cristiano Ronaldo matched the feat in November.
Marta might be coming to the end of her career, but you can bet there are at least a couple more magic moments in her boots.
5: Aitana Bonmati - Spain
Bonmati is the ultimate box-to-box midfielder for Barcelona and directly contributed to 31 goals last year.
She plays in a slightly deeper role for Spain but will look to dictate things in Australia and New Zealand.
4: Asisat Oshoala - Nigeria
Oshoala has scored 107 goals in 146 games for Barcelona and has racked up a large trophy haul.
She is lethal in front of goal and will be bidding to finish as the tournament's top goalscorer.
3: Pernille Harder - Denmark
Harder has just left Chelsea for Bayern Munich after several successful years in west London.
She is Denmark's best player and will look to guide her country out of a difficult group.
2: Sam Kerr - Australia
Kerr is Australia's shining light and one of the world's best strikers, capable of scoring from all angles.
While playing for Chelsea, she has become one of Emma Hayes' most important players and contributed to some great success.
