Pulisic sealed a move to the Serie A giants last week after four years with Chelsea, where he scored 26 goals in 145 games in all competitions.
The 24-year-old played a key role in Chelsea's Champions League success under Thomas Tuchel in 2021, scoring against Real Madrid at the Bernabeu in their semi-final first leg before setting up Mason Mount in the second leg which sealed the Blues' progression to the final in Porto.
However, the USA international's time at Stamford Bridge was disrupted by injury and he was perhaps a victim of Chelsea's struggles since their takeover by Todd Boehly, scoring just once last season as they finished in a disappointing 12th place in the Premier League.
Former Stoke City defender Cameron is close friends with Pulisic after they played together for the USA national team and they would often spend time together when Cameron was based in London with QPR.
The duo have been in touch since Pulisic sealed his move to the San Siro and Cameron believes AC Milan are a good fit for his former teammate.

Speaking exclusively to talkSPORT, Cameron said: "I'm happy for him. Either way, I felt he was unreal for Chelsea and he made a massive impact. Yes, he had some injuries and some tough injuries he had to overcome, but when he was flying and he was playing, he was one of the most dynamic and creative players.
"He's a good buddy of mine. He would come over when I was in London and just [seeing] the level of where he's at and his focus was [brilliant and] people don't see that side and how much he cares. He just wants to be the best.
"AC Milan is a massive club and I think he's going to be pretty special for them and I think they're going to see a player that has great ability and they'll play more to his strengths essentially.
"It's crazy because you have these people who say ludicrous things and you just say: 'You have no idea what he is about as a player.' We had Landon Donovan come on and say: 'He should come back to the MLS before the World Cup.' No! He wants to play at the highest level.

"He wants to push himself and that's not doing him any favours or the national team. You look at where he's played and what he's accomplished and no American player has done what he has done so far and has been at a club like Chelsea and now AC Milan and had a major impact on the national team and on the club stage.
"For me, he's a massive player with so much potential that he hasn't even achieved yet. It was hard overcoming those injuries but I think that you saw times where he was lightning and he showed the reason why he wore the number 10 jersey and there's a reason why he was offered that jersey because he was that special. For me, the best is yet to come."
