Sunday's Primeira Liga predictions including Vitoria de Guimaraes vs. Estrela

Portimonense vs. Gil Vicente (Sunday, 3.30pm)

Fresh off the back of picking up their first win of the year, Portimonense play host to Gil Vicente at the Estadio Municipal de Portimao in round 18 of the Primeira Liga on Sunday.

Having picked up a resounding 5-0 victory in August's reverse fixture, the Gilistas will head into the weekend looking to do the double over the hosts and record their first away win in well over a year.

Two sides who could do well with a win go head to head on Sunday as Chaves play host to Rio Ave at the Estadio Municipal Eng. Manuel Branco Teixeira in round 18 of the Primeira Liga.

Having failed to win the last nine top-flight meetings between the teams, the Flavienses will head into the weekend looking to get one over the visitors and pick up their first win of the year.

Having both endured a disappointing first half of the season, Chaves and Rio Ave find themselves scrambling for points in the relegation zone and will head into the weekend in search of a pick-me-up. While Rio Ave are slight favourites, they have struggled to impose themselves away from home and we predict they will hold out for a share of the spoils.

Guimaraes vs. Estrela Amadora (Sunday, 8.30pm)

Round 18 of the 2023-24 Primeira Liga season concludes with a meeting between Vitoria de Guimaraes and Estrela Amadora at the Estadio D. Afonso Henriques on Sunday.

The home side set out to record a third consecutive victory, while their visitors go in search of what would be a first win in five matches.
