Sunday's Bundesliga predictions including Bayer Leverkusen vs. Wolfsburg

VfL Bochum vs. Freiburg (Sunday, 2.30pm)

Freiburg will continue their pursuit for European football next season when they travel to the Ruhrstadion to face VfL Bochum on Sunday.

Christian Streich's men will be full of confidence following a superb first-leg win over West Ham United in the Europa League last 16 on Thursday.

We say: VfL Bochum 1-3 Freiburg

Maintaining the eight-point gap which Bochum have on the bottom three may be tough for the hosts here, considering they have lost five in a row against Freiburg and have been leaking goals at an alarming rate recently.

The visitors have been struggling for wins themselves of late, but two fine results over the past week should give them a huge lift, even if there may be one eye on the trip to London coming up.

Frankfurt vs. Hoffenheim (Sunday, 4.30pm)

Eintracht Frankfurt welcome Hoffenheim to Deutsche-Bank Park for an important clash in the European race in the Bundesliga on Sunday.

With it still unclear whether six, seven or eight sides will earn a place in Europe directly via the top flight, this fixture could play a big role in determining who claims sixth.

We say: Eintracht Frankfurt 2-2 Hoffenheim

Frankfurt have been the stalemate specialists recently and drew three successive games in the league before their win over Heidenheim last weekend.

Against stronger opponents, though, it may be tougher for the hosts, and recent meetings suggest goals are in store here, in what should be a closely-fought encounter.

B. Leverkusen vs. Wolfsburg (Sunday, 6.30pm)

Bayer Leverkusen will continue their charge towards a maiden Bundesliga title when they welcome Wolfsburg to the BayArena on Sunday.

Xabi Alonso's men moved even further ahead at the top last weekend, as their win paired with Bayern Munich's draw at Freiburg put a 10-point gap between the sides.

We say: Bayer Leverkusen 3-0 Wolfsburg

No team in Germany or on the continent appear capable of stopping Leverkusen at the moment, despite a wobble in midweek, and the league leaders should cruise to another victory this weekend.

Wolfsburg have been leaking goals with regularity in 2024 so far, and that has contributed to the fact they are still yet to win since returning from the winter break, and they are unlikely to break that duck in this one.
