Saturday's League Two predictions including Wrexham vs. Newport

Accrington vs. Walsall (Saturday, 3.00pm)

Round 23 of the 2023-24 League Two season sees Accrington Stanley and Walsall go head-to-head at the Wham Stadium on Saturday afternoon.

The home side had to settle for a share of the spoils in their last outing, while the visitors claimed a third consecutive victory across all competitions.

We say: Accrington Stanley 1-1 Walsall

The sides boast similar records at the back heading into this one, but Accrington just about have the upper hand in front of goal. That said, we can see the spoils being share come the sound of the final whistle.

Grimsby Town vs. Harrogate (Saturday, 3.00pm)

Grimsby Town can match their longest home unbeaten run in League Two this season when they host Harrogate Town on Saturday at Blundell Park.

Last weekend, the Mariners came back to claim a 1-1 draw with Newport County, dropping them down to 18th, three points behind the Sulphurites, who are 16th after defeating Notts County 3-1.

We say: Grimsby Town 1-0 Harrogate Town

This should be a close affair, but we are giving the home side the edge because they have been more consistent and have a little more quality in the attacking third.

Morecambe vs. MK Dons (Saturday, 3.00pm)

Morecambe and MK Dons face off against each other in round 23 of the 2023-24 League Two season at the Mazuma Stadium on Saturday afternoon.

Both sides came away with maximum points from their respective most recent outings and will head into this weekend's encounter on a positive note.

We say: Morecambe 1-2 MK Dons

There is little separating the teams ahead of Saturday's clash, but MK Dons just about have the edge given their record in this fixture. We are anticipating a keenly-contested affair with the visitors narrowly coming out on top in the end.

Sutton vs. Mansfield (Saturday, 3.00pm)

Looking to regain a little pride, Sutton United return to Gander Green Lane on Saturday for a date with Mansfield Town.

A week ago, the Us suffered a devastating 8-0 defeat versus the League Two leaders Stockport County, as they remain bottom of the table, while the Stags are fourth after beating Crawley Town 3-1.

A new manager in the dugout can often have an immediate impact, but in this case, we believe the character and consistency of Mansfield Town will take advantage of a side that may still be reeling psychologically from what transpired last weekend.

Tranmere vs. Swindon (Saturday, 3.00pm)

Seeking to pick up a fourth consecutive home victory in the League Two, Tranmere Rovers go head to head with Swindon Town at Prenton Park on Saturday.

Unbeaten in the last four meetings between the two sides, the Robins will head into the weekend looking to extend their dominance over the hosts and move into the playoffs places.

We say: Tranmere Rovers 2-1 Swindon Town

Given their recent run of results against the hosts, Swindon Town will fancy themselves to come away with the desired results this weekend. However, Tranmere have won their last three home games in the league and we are tipping them to come away with all three points.

Wrexham vs. Newport (Saturday, 3.00pm)

Wrexham can maintain their place in the top three of League Two when they host Newport County on Saturday at the Racecourse Ground in their final home fixture of 2023.

An own goal 21 minutes from the end last weekend enabled the Robins to remain in third place, defeating Colchester United 2-1, while the Port are 17th, playing to a 1-1 draw with Grimsby Town.

We say: Wrexham 3-1 Newport County

The Wrexham style often leaves them vulnerable at the back, but there is so much depth in the attack that we believe they will once again find a way to counteract that flaw against Newport.
