Saturday's Eredivisie predictions including Waalwijk vs. Ajax

Feyenoord vs. Go Ahead Eagles (Saturday, 3.30pm)

Fresh from a stunning win in De Klassieker, Feyenoord will be looking to preserve their unbeaten status in the Eredivisie when they welcome Go Ahead Eagles to Stadion Feijenoord on Saturday afternoon.

The hosts enjoyed a historic success at the home of Ajax last time out amid unprecedented circumstances, whilst the Eagles will be hoping to respond following a loss at PSV Eindhoven last time out.

We say: Feyenoord 4-1 Go Ahead Eagles

Feyenoord have been in sensational form over the past few weeks, and the home supporters on Saturday afternoon will be expecting nothing other than a comprehensive victory to extend their unbeaten run to seven league matches.

Go Ahead Eagles looked distinctly average in their defeat at PSV in the week, and we envisage Hake's side struggling again at another one of the Eredivisie's big hitters.

Utrecht vs. Almere City (Saturday, 5.45pm)

FC Utrecht will be looking to pick up their first home win of the season when they take on Almere City at the Stadion Galgenwaard on Saturday evening.

As things stand, the hosts are 16th in the table, two points above the visitors, who are bottom of the Eredivisie.

We say: FC Utrecht 1-0 Almere City

Both sides have struggled from an attacking point of view so far this season, scoring just four goals in their opening six games, so Saturday's match is unlikely to be a high-scoring affair.

However, given that they have home advantage, we expect a narrow victory for the hosts, which could move them out of the relegation zone.

PSV vs. Volendam (Saturday, 5.45pm)

PSV Eindhoven will be looking to maintain their 100% record at the start of the Eredivisie campaign when they welcome FC Volendam to the Philips Stadion on Saturday evening.

The hosts have earned six straight wins at the beginning of the 2023-24 league term, whereas visitors Volendam are yet to secure their first maximum of the campaign ahead of this weekend.

We say: PSV Eindhoven 2-0 FC Volendam

PSV have been sensational in the Eredivisie so far this term, and they will be extremely confident of making it seven wins in a row on Saturday afternoon.

Volendam did well to earn a draw against Heracles last time out, but a trip to Philips Stadion presents a much tougher assignment which is likely to end in defeat.

FC Twente vs. Heerenveen (Saturday, 8.00pm)

FC Twente will be looking to continue their promising start to the Eredivisie season when they take on Heerenveen at De Grolsch Veste on Saturday evening.

The hosts are currently third in the league table, meaning they should fancy their chances this weekend, as the visitors are in 12th place.

We say: FC Twente 2-0 Heerenveen

FC Twente have a phenomenal record on their own patch, having gone undefeated at De Grolsch Veste in the Eredivisie across the whole of the 2022-23 campaign.

The Tukkers have kicked off with three wins from three at home this season, so they should have no problem brushing aside an out-of-form Heerenveen side.

RKC Waalwijk vs. Ajax (Saturday, 8.00pm)

RKC Waalwijk take on Ajax at the Mandemakers Stadion on Saturday evening, in the latest round of Eredivisie fixtures.

Heading into the game, the hosts sit in 13th place, while the visitors are down in 14th, after a tumultuous start to the season

We say: RKC Waalwijk 1-1 Ajax

Ajax would normally be expected to win this fixture, but they have made a very poor start to the season, collecting just two points from their opening three away games.

Given that Waalwijk have won their last two games on the bounce, they should head into Saturday's game in high spirits, and we think they might be able to pick up a point.
