The home side are unblemished in the league, making them favourites against an out-of-form Fortuna this weekend.

PSV are averaging three goals at the Philips Stadion, and they should secure a comfortable home win against a Fortuna side that have lost their last two away games heavily without scoring.

Nijmegen vs. Almere City (Saturday, 7.00pm)

NEC Nijmegen welcome Almere City to the Goffertstadion in the Eredivisie on Saturday evening.

The two sides are separated by just a point heading into the weekend, and both start in the bottom half.

We say: NEC 1-1 Almere City

With two wins, two draws and two defeats in their previous six matches, Nijmegen are a tough side to predict, but there should be goals, even if the two sides are difficult to separate on paper.

Almere produced two mammoth performances to get their first top-flight wins before the international break, and maintaining a position outside of the bottom three will be the aim now.

Feyenoord vs. Vitesse (Saturday, 8.00pm)

Defending Eredivisie champions Feyenoord seek their fourth consecutive victory at De Kuip against Vitesse on Saturday.

The round nine encounter could take Arne Slot's team second in the table if they secure maximum points and results elsewhere go their way.

We say: Feyenoord 2-1 Vitesse

Despite their recent commendable results at Feyenoord, Slot's side should secure their first league victory over Vitesse at De Kuip since 2018.

AZ vs. Heerenveen (Saturday, 8.00pm)

Early high-flyers AZ Alkmaar welcome Heerenveen to the AFAS Stadion for an Eredivisie clash on Saturday night.

The international break came at the worst possible time for AZ, who would have been riding high after a famous win away at a struggling Ajax side.

Nothing looks likely to stop AZ in their current form, and this should be another routine success before looking ahead to the visit of Aston Villa.

Despite ending their five-game losing run before the break, Heerenveen are unlikely to spring a big surprise and could well slip further down the table come the end of the weekend.
