Following their disappointing loss to West Ham United in the EFL Cup in midweek, the Red Devils want a positive result and have a great chance to end the day on top of the Premier League if other results go their way.
In terms of performances, it's been a mixed start to the season for United but they have stlll earned 13 points from their first five league games putting them third in the table.
However, alongside the EFL cup loss there was disappointment in the Champions League when the club lost in the last minute to Young Boys.
Their opponents this weekend, Aston Villa, are still adjusting to life after Jack Grealish and have also had a mix bag of results.
Seven points from their first five has placed Dean Smith's side in the mid-table.
Just like United, they were knocked out in the third round of the League Cup but can be spurred on by their performance as they took Chelsea to penalties at Stamford Bridge and convincingly beat Everton in the league a few days before.
