The 19-year-old made the move to Bernabeu from Fenerbahce last summer, but fitness problems and competition for spots saw him restricted to just 12 appearances during the 2023-24 campaign.
Guler managed six goals in the latter stages of the La Liga season, though, with his best performance coming against Villarreal on May 19, when he struck a brace.
The teenager then represented Turkey at Euro 2024, scoring once and providing two assists in five appearances at the competition, as his side impressively reached the quarter-finals.
There has been a host of speculation surrounding Guler's future in recent weeks, with some reports claiming that he could be allowed to leave on loan for the 2024-25 campaign.
Guler 'set' to remain at Real Madrid this summer
However, according to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, Real Madrid have no desire to enter into discussions over a loan switch for the youngster this summer.
Bayer Leverkusen have been credited with an interest, but the links are described as 'wide of the mark', with Los Blancos viewing him as an important part of their plans moving forward.
Guler showed his versatility at Euro 2024, playing on the right and through the middle, but his best work for Real Madrid towards the end of last season came down the right.
There will be intense competition for spots in the final third for Los Blancos next season, as Kylian Mbappe and Endrick have arrived to boost an already-strong squad.
Where could Guler play for Real Madrid next season?
Real Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti is expected to switch back to a 4-3-3 formation in 2023-24, with Jude Bellingham dropping from the number 10 role into central midfield.
If fit, Vinicius Junior and Mbappe will be certain starters, with Rodrygo the favourite to play down the right and Endrick rotating into the front three.
However, Rodrygo's spot in the XI is not guaranteed, and if Guler can impress during pre-season and then hit the ground running in 2024-25, then it is not impossible to imagine him claiming a starting role.
Guler showed some moments of real magic for his country at Euro 2024, while his form towards the end of the 2023-24 campaign simply cannot be ignored.
Real Madrid will open their preparations for the 2024-25 season with a clash against AC Milan on July 31 before also tackling Barcelona and Chelsea as part of the tour of the United States.
