At this early stage of the campaign, the hosts are sitting in second, while the visitors are down in 13th place.
Match preview
It has been a perfect start to the campaign for PSV, who are in search of their first Eredivisie title since the 2017-18 season, having won their opening three league games.
The Boeren have also managed to secure qualification for the Champions League group stages, defeating Rangers 7-3 on aggregate to avenge their loss against the Scottish side last season.
Peter Bosz's side put in a fantastic performance against the Gers in the second leg, racking up a 5-1 victory at the Philips Stadion, and they were just as impressive in their last match, running out 4-0 winners away at Waalwijk.
It was a second clean sheet in three games for PSV, who have conceded just one goal so far this season, with Luuk de Jong looking particularly impressive, scoring for the fifth game on the spin, while also registering two assists.
The signs are looking positive heading into Saturday's game, and the Boeren are also boosted by the fact they have a fantastic record against their upcoming opponents, winnin the last 11 matches between the two sides.
Indeed, NEC have often struggled against PSV Eindhove, and they made a poor start to their Eredivisie campaign, losing 4-3 at home to Excelsior, before falling to a 2-1 defeat on the road at Heracles.
Since then, however, Nijmegen's form has picked up, taking four points from their last two games, with Magnus Mattsson putting in a fantastic performance in a 3-0 victory against Waalwijk, scoring twice.
Rogier Meijer's side picked up a decent point on the road against Sparta Rotterdam last time out, but they may be disappointed not to have taken more from the game, with Joshua Kitolano equalising from the spot in the 81st minute.
NEC's task will be significantly more difficult on Saturday afternoon, considering they have never beaten PSV away from home in a competitive match, and they have not managed to pick up a draw since 2009.

Team News
PSV have a number of long-term absentees, with Mauro Junior and Armando Obispo set to miss out due to knee injuries, while Fredrik Oppegard also remains sidelined.
After his side ran out 4-0 winners last time out, there is very little reason for Bosz to tinker with his side, and it would not be a surprise if he names an unchanged starting lineup, with De Jong leading the line.
NEC also have a few players out due to injury, with Elayis Tavsan, Bart van Rooij and Kas De Wit all unavailable for selection.
Meijer implemented a 4-2-3-1 system away at Sparta Rotterdam last time out, and the manager could well stick with the same formation, but opt for a more defensive approach.
PSV Eindhoven possible starting lineup:
Benitez; Dest, Ramalho, Schouten, Van Aanholt; Til, Veerman, Bakayoko, Saibari, Lang; De Jong
NEC possible starting lineup:
Cillessen; Pereira, Sandler, Nuytinck, Verdonk; Proper, Mattsson, Larsen, Gonzalez, Baas; Ogawa
We say: PSV Eindhoven 2-0 NEC
PSV Eindhoven have a stellar record against NEC, and they have made a fantastic start to the season, winning their first three games.
As such, we expect them to record a comfortable victory this weekend.
