Istanbulspor failed to pull clear of the relegation zone as they suffered a 1-0 defeat at the hands of Kasimpasa when the sides faced off last Saturday.

Following a goalless first half at the Recep Tayyip Erdogan Stadium, the hosts' waves of attack paid off two minutes before the hour mark when Yasin Ozcan broke the deadlock to see off the visitors.

Adana Demirspor's hopes of qualifying for the Conference League playoffs mathematically came to an end last Sunday when they were beaten 4-1 by Besiktas at the 5 Ocak Fatih Terim.

The hosts looked on course for a routine victory when Younes Belhanda opened the scoring in the 19th minute, but Senol Gunes's men hit back with four straight goals, with Vincent Aboubakar chipping in a brace.

Last week's defeat did not only throw the spanner in the works of Adana Demirspor's European qualification hopes but also saw their five-match winning streak come to an end.

With 63 points from 33 matches, Vincenzo Montella's men are currently fourth in the league standings, 11 points adrift of the top-three places, with just three games left to play.

Istanbulspor head into the midweek clash with a clean bill of health and no suspension concerns, giving Tekke the luxury of a full strength squad at his disposal.

Having watched his side fail to score in their last two outings, the 45-year-old could ring a few changes in attack, with the likes of Jetmir Topalli and Eduart Rroca pushing for starting roles.

Veteran goalkeeper Ertac Ozbir will play no part in Tuesday's game as he serves a one-match ban after crossing the yellow card threshold with his booking against Besiktas.

In his absence, 26-year-old Goran Karacic should make an appearance between the sticks for Adana Demirspor for the first time since November 2022.
