Bruno Fernandes and Marcus Rashford are both in the starting line-up for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, while Diogo Jota has been preferred over Mane for the visitors.
Fernandes, Fred and Rashford were all rumoured to be doubts for the game, but all have been named in the starting line-up.
For United it is three changes to the side that lost to Leicester in the last Premier League fixture, while it is Rashford's first Premier League start of the 2021/22 season.
Elsewhere, Ibrahima Konate has come in for Joel Matip at the back for Liverpool.
Fabinho is not in the squad due to a knee problem.
"We have to focus on what Liverpool can do, and obviously do our best to not concede nothing and not give any chances to them," Fernandes said pre-match.
"You always have to be solid defensively, but at the same time attack at the same level, so you have to do both of them in a good way, because they [Liverpool] defend well, but they attack well as well.
"Hopefully we will do our defensive shape really good, keep a clean sheet and score a goal."
