West Bromwich Albion have sanctioned the departure of Matheus Pereira after the winger's spell at the club came to a messy end.
Pereira was involved in a war of words with manager Valerien Ismael prior to his departure.
Last week Ismael confirmed that Pereira was looking for a way out at the Hawthorns and bluntly revealed that he is "not committed to the Championship and not committed to us."
The 25-year-old responded angrily to his manager and wrote a long response, detailing how he has felt "extremely disrespected". Today, the Baggies have confirmed Pereira's transfer to Saudi Professional League club Al Hilal.
The fee is undisclosed.
Matheus Pereira scored 11 times in the Premier League but is now heading to Saudi Arabia
Pereira arrived at The Hawthorns on loan from Sporting Lisbon in the summer of 2019 and made his move permanent the following year.
He scored 11 times in the Premier League last season but was unable to prevent the Baggies from being relegated.
He was ostracised from their pre-season games in order to avoid him picking up an injury in a friendly that would have potentially scuppered his move away.
Albion begin their Championship season away at Bournemouth tonight.
