Partey pays tribute to former Ghana teammate Atsu after Arsenal win

Atsu was sadly found dead after the devastating earthquake that hit Turkey in February.

The former Chelsea, Newcastle and Everton had been playing for Turkish Super Lig side Hatayspor.

Atsu also featured for the Ghanaian national team during his career, making 60 appearances for his country.

17 of his international appearances came alongside Partey, who wore an undershirt with a message to Atsu during Arsenal's game on Saturday.

After the full-time whistle, the midfielder took his shirt off to reveal the words: "Rest well Christian Atsu."

It was a touching tribute from the 29-year-old after what was a dramatic afternoon in north London.

Partey played a crucial role in his side's win that saw them come from behind to seal a massive three points.

Arsenal went 1-0 down after just nine seconds following Philip Billing's close range finish.

Marcos Senesi then doubled the Cherries' lead to stun the hosts, but Partey pulled one back five minutes later.

The Gunners drew level when Ben White scored his first goal for the club as the clock ticked down.

Reiss Nelson came off the bench to assist the defender before getting onto the scoresheet himself with a 97th minute strike.

Arsenal are once again five points clear of Manchester City at the top of the table, with Partey proving crucial once again.
