Newcastle United v Spurs team news: Wilson and Shelvey fit to return for Magpies

Callum Wilson has been out of action since August with an injury, an absence that has certainly been felt by Steve Bruce's side.

However he is expected to be passed fit for Sunday's clash after stepping up his recovery over the international break.

Jonjo Shelvey is also back in contention after playing for the club's under-23 side midweek, while Joe Willock and Jamaal Lascelles are also available.

The only absentees for Bruce are Martin Dubravka and Paul Dummet

Tottenham team news

For Nuno Espirito Santo there won't be a huge amount of injury concerns.

Ben Davies could miss out after dropping out of the Wales squad due to illness, while Stephen Bergwijn and Ryan Sessegnon will both miss out as long-term absentees.

The challenge will be on ensuring that their players return from international duty unscathed.

The manager has not ruled them out of the match.

Argentine duo Cristian Romero and Giovani Lo Celso, Colombia's

Davinson Sanchez and Brazil international Emerson Royal are en route to London having been in South America for World Cup qualifiers over the last two weeks.

Romero, Lo Celso and Emerson all played in the early hours of Friday morning.

Nuno said: "They will join us tomorrow and then we'll see. Then we'll see.

"The reports that we have is that they finished their games well. Some of them played 90 minutes, Davinson Sanchez no, but what we are expecting is for them to join us and then we'll see."
