Another chapter in arguably English football's biggest rivalry will be written on Sunday but Gary Neville and Graeme Souness had their own little showdown pre-match.
The pair clashed on what they felt was Manchester United's biggest problem at the moment is.
Former Red Devil Neville said: "The biggest problem United actually have pre-dates Cristiano Ronaldo. And actually for me it's not a Paul Pogba issue either."
A slightly irritated Souness interjected: "You had to throw him into the mix as well."
But Neville continued: "We can point towards two players, no goals is a mentality issue in a club, it's a mentality issue in general.
"United have had just one clean sheet in the last 20 game across all competitions.
"They've conceded 31 goals to Chelsea's 12, Liverpool's 16 and Manchester City's 21."
But ex-Liverpool star Souness cut in again and added: "That's not about having a focal point. That's not the issue.
"The issue is you're too vulnerable. It's not about having a focal point. That's not the issue. You're talking about a focal point, Ronaldo needs Edinson Cavani to be a focal point.
"It's not about them having a focal point, it's about them being solid when they don't have the ball and whether they decide to press high up the field, which they can't do with those kind of players in the team.
"Pogba won't do it. He's got three or four players in the team who won't press all the time.
"You can't do it 75 per cent of the time, you need to do it 100 per cent that's why they've got just one clean sheet."
Stand by for round two after the match!
