Nadim left ITV's coverage of Denmark's opening clash with Tunisia during the second-half on November 22 with the broadcaster confirming she had to leave early.
The women's football star then later took to Instagram to report the horrifying news that her mother had been 'hit by a truck' adding: "I have lost the most important person in my life".

Nadim had chosen to deal with her grief by returning to work, and was part of ITV's coverage on Netherlands' Group A meeting with Qatar.
After talkSPORT host Laura Woods told Nadim everyone had been thinking about her, she then paid an emotional tribute to her mum.
"Thank you, my mum unfortunately passed away last Tuesday, very unexpectedly in an accident," she said.
"She was a very strong woman who inspired not only me but a lot of people around her and obviously I'm sad, but on the other hand she raised us to be strong.

"I think this is how to show to be strong and I want to make her proud, I know she wanted me to be here.
"I remember when the accident happened she had said she was going to go earlier to the gym so she could see the show.
"So the reason I'm here is for her, to make her proud and obviously have a mind on football and work and try to build something instead of laying at home and feeling sad for myself."
