Mykolenko left bloodied after sickening clash of heads with Everton teammate

During the second-half of the 0-0 draw at Goodison Park, the Toffees defenders were involved in a nasty coming together.

Both players were left lying on the pitch and had to receive treatment from medical staff, with Mykolenko far from unscathed.

The Ukrainian could be seen with blood across the top of his left eye and also on the right side of his head.

Everton were temporarily down to ten men as Mykolenko continued to be tended to despite being able to get back up onto his feet.

He eventually made his way back onto the pitch, donning a bandage around his head similar to Terry Butcher against Sweden in 1989.

Villa goalkeeper Emiliano Martinez then made a second save to keep the score at 0-0 before the break.
