It will be all change at Manchester United ahead of the new season with the Erik ten Hag's reign getting under way.
Changes and improvements will be demanded following an underwhelming campaign in 2021/22, which saw them record their lowest ever points total in the Premier League.
Many of the Man United players have been putting in the hard graft in the off-season to impress the new manager.
And McTominay looked ripped in pictures he posted on Instagram that was captioned: "Late night's work" and "Boot camp".
The 25-year-old was training alongside Callum Wheeler, a former academy teammate who now plays for Oldham.
McTominay has been with Man United since he was five years old and progressed through the academy ranks to become an established first-team player.
There were doubts that he would ever make it as a professional, being 5ft 6in when he was 18 before an incredible growth spurt to 6ft 4in by the end of 2015.
McTominay previously said: "It's just more of the fact that my body was not ready at all.
"I always knew I was going to be quite tall but maybe not that tall.
"I think when I was 13 or 14, if I was at another club who weren't as patient with me as I was smaller and not playing games, I think they might have thought, 'We'll just get rid of him'.
"I couldn't fault United when I was growing up and how they treated me. How it's panned out has obviously been really good."
The Mirror report that the United players are in for a tough test when they get back to pre-season.
Ten Hag plans to measure the players' fitness during the first two days and put their stamina to the test with passing drills.
The Dutchman will also reportedly force the players and staff to all eat together at the training ground, a similar approach Sir Alex Ferguson took during his illustrious time at Old Trafford.
