Roma manager Jose Mourinho is interested in signing Manchester United youngster Charlie Wellens, according to reports.
The 19-year-old is yet to play a first-team game for the Red Devils, but it's believed several European sides are keeping tabs on him.
He is the son of Richie Wellens, the former United youngster who went on to make more than 600 EFL appearances.
The 41-year-old was recently in charge of Salford City, the club owned by Old Trafford legends David Beckham, Paul Scholes, Ryan Giggs, Nicky Butt, Phil and Gary Neville.
Current United star Wellens has played at full-back, right-wing and in central midfield for the club's U23 side.

He played in all three of United's EFL Trophy fixtures against Lincoln City, Bradford and Sunderland and has been a regular in the Premier League 2.
According to The Sun, Mourinho is keen to bring the talent to the Italian capital and boost his defensive options.
The Portuguese is thought to have taken a shine to Wellens when he was United boss between May 2016 and December 2018.
Mourinho reportedly wanted to sign the teenager when he was manager of Tottenham between November 2019 and April 2021.
Spurs are still believed to be interested in Wellens, as well as Italian champions Inter Milan.
Mourinho is said to be keen on signing a right-back in January and Wellens could fit the bill after missing out on Diogo Dalot.
Rumours earlier this season suggested the experienced coach wanted to sign the Portuguese defender for a second time in the upcoming transfer window.
Mourinho was responsible for bringing Dalot to Old Trafford in the summer of 2018 before his sacking six months later.
"In his age group, he is the best full-back in Europe," said Mourinho while discussing the 22-year-old when he was United manager.
"He is an extremely talented young defender with all the qualities to quickly become a great player for this club [United].
"He has all the attributes that a full-back needs: physicality, tactical intelligence and technical quality, combined with a Porto academy mentality which prepares players for the maturity they need at the professional level."
Dalot, however, no longer appears to be a realistic option for Mourinho after reclaiming his place in Ralf Rangnick's United team.
He's started and finished United's last three Premier League outings and is expected to feature against Newcastle on Monday evening.
Dalot also sent a clear transfer message to potential suitors when quizzed on his United future earlier this month.
"It's not easy when you're outside [the starting XI] and you don't play as much," he said. "But our job to keep ready and I think I was doing a fantastic job outside the pitch being ready.
''When the opportunity comes, I now feel I need to keep going and give everything when I'm on the pitch too.''
Dalot also said in November: "I wanted to stay here [in the summer] and the club trusted me to stay here. My mind was completely focused on having an important role in this team."
