The forward is in scintillating form for his club, netting nine times and registering six assists in just nine games this season, earning him comparisons to Liverpool's Mohamed Salah.
Marmoush has led Die Adler to third place in the Bundesliga and they are just one point behind leaders Bayern Munich, against whom the Egyptian scored twice and assisted once in his team's pulsating 3-3 draw with the Bavarians on October 6.
The 25-year-old's record this season has seen his name begin to be linked with some of Europe's biggest clubs, despite there still being more than two months to go until the transfer window reopens.
Goal claims that Marmoush is of serious interest to Manchester United, but the Red Devils will have to fend off competition from a number of rival clubs such as Liverpool and Arsenal if they are to sign the forward in the summer.
Man United to sign the new Mohamed Salah?
Mohamed Salah's 217 goals makes him the fifth highest scorer in Liverpool's history, and Gordon Hodgson is the only player in the top 10 Reds' scorers to have a better games per goal ratio than the Egyptian's 1.65.
While there should not be expectations for Marmoush to be able to replicate these numbers at Manchester United, the winger's electric pace, creativity and versatility in the forward line would no doubt be a valuable asset to Erik ten Hag's struggling side.
Marmoush has in fact scored more goals in the Bundesliga so far this term than United have netted collectively in their seven Premier League games, with the Red Devils having scored the joint second-fewest goals in the division.
Apart from sharing a nationality, the Eintracht Frankfurt player's rounded ability in the forward line has also seen him compared to Salah, especially as the pair are both capable of either making runs into the box or slipping in a teammate.
Marmoush is still a unique player in his own right and is arguably more suited to arriving on the end of passes in the final third than the current version of Salah, who has changed his playstyle at Liverpool to become more of a creator rather than an outright goalscorer.
Interest elsewhere in Europe
However, United will have to see off competition from other interested parties if they are to follow up their reported interest in the player.
Rivals Liverpool have been strongly linked with the forward, as the club reportedly eye possible alternatives to Salah, who is set to leave Merseyside at the end of the season for free unless a new contract is agreed.
It has also been claimed that Arsenal, Tottenham Hotspur and Newcastle United have an interest in signing Marmoush, in addition to a number of clubs across Europe.
Considering the attention that the attacker has garnered in recent months, as well as the uncertainty surrounding United boss Ten Hag, it would appear that the Red Devils could have fierce competition for his signature if they attempted to materialise any interest.
It seems the 25-year-old could have his pick of clubs in the summer, and if he continues his breathtaking form, then he may be the subject of significant bids.
