The Manchester United midfielder has been out of action since January 28 when a tackle from Reading's Andy Carroll left him in crutches and a protective boot.

The Dane was given a three-month prognosis to heal from the ankle injury, and there were fears he could miss the rest of the season.
However, his latest Instagram story shows that he's gone from a protective boot, to trainers, and now football boots.

That suggests he's back on the grass and close to a return, with Erik ten Hag recently giving April as the month Eriksen would likely be back.
"Yes, at some point in April, he will be back," the Dutchman said.
"He is doing really well, really good in his rehab.
"The progress is very good and we have to see how that develops in the coming weeks."

Before being injured, Eriksen was Ten Hag's most-used player in all competitions with 31 appearances to his name.

An earlier than expected return would be very timely for United, with a heavy schedule to end the season.
The Manchester giants have already played a huge 46 games in all competitions, more than any of their Premier League rivals.
That spell has seen them win the Carabao Cup - their first piece of silverware since 2017, while they're still in the FA Cup and Europa League.

They face Sevilla in the Europa quarter-finals, while Brighton stand in their way of a first FA Cup final since 2018.
There's also their top four chase, with huge games against Newcastle, Chelsea and Tottenham in April likely to decide their Champions League fate.
