The Manchester United loanee lasted just 15 minutes in the Ligue 1 side's Coupe de France tie against Hyeres earlier this month after he planted his studs into Moussa N'Diaye's ribs.

Referee Jeremy Stinat immediately pulled out a red card for the Red Devils defender, before N'Diaye was sent to hospital, where Bailly later visited him.
Now, the Ivory Coast international has discovered his punishment for the challenge.
According to French outlet La Provence, the Disciplinary Committee of the French Football Federation has decided to impose a seven-game suspension on the Marseille star.

The 28-year-old has already served a two-game suspension in Ligue 1 following the incident.
And while Marseille feared a significant sanction, they did not think that it would be seven games because Bailly didn't intend to injure N'Diaye, as per RMC Sport.
In response, Marseille president Pablo Longoria - who had not been made aware of the reported ban - was furious that his club had not been notified.

"If our player is truly suspended for 7 games, it would above all be very serious if some people leaked this decision to the press without even bothering to having notified the sanction and warned the club concerned," he said.
"It is a lack of respect."
Since he was shipped out on loan in the summer after falling down Man United's centre-back pecking order, Bailly has made 12 appearances for Marseille.
