Luis Diaz took a matter of minutes to announce himself to the Anfield crowd after making his Liverpool debut on Sunday afternoon.
The £50million winger, who joined from Porto late in the January transfer window, came off the bench just before the hour mark against Cardiff in the FA Cup.
Within 10 minutes, he had created a goal with his tenacious pressing in the opposition penalty area - something which will have delighted his new manager, Jurgen Klopp.
Diaz hounded Perry Ng and picked the pocket of the Cardiff right-back before cutting the ball back across the area for Takumi Minamino to rifle past Dillon Phillips.
The Colombia international was unfortunate not to receive the assist for the goal, which was Liverpool's second in a 3-1 win, as Diogo Jota got a slight touch on the ball on its way through.

But it was a promising second-half cameo for Diaz, who made good on his pledge to "give absolutely everything" to impress Reds fans.
Speaking during his first trip to the club's Kirkby headquarters, he told Liverpoolfc.com : "I just want to send a message to the fans to say hello and if you keep supporting us, like you always have done, I know you're a great set of fans and I am going to give absolutely everything I've got, 100 per cent, to help my team as much as I can and hopefully make you really happy."
Diaz set Liverpool on course for the fifth round with his vital contribution to doubling the lead following Jota's opener, and Harvey Elliott sealed the deal with a fine volley eight minutes later.
Klopp picked out his new signing during his post-match press conference, praising his "absolutely incredible" effort to press all the way to the byline and win the ball.
Diaz continued to look bright throughout the closing stages and he was not afraid of the Championship side's physicality, which bodes well as he prepares to make his Premier League bow.
However, this did lead to a moment of concern for the hosts in the 83rd minute, shortly after Rubin Colwill pulled one back for Cardiff.
Diaz went down clutching his knee after rising for an aerial duel, requiring lengthy treatment which raised fears he had suffered a serious injury.
To the relief of the home supporters, he was able to continue and helped the Reds see out the remaining minutes to advance at Cardiff's expense.
Klopp summed up Diaz's debut aptly by declaring: "We all said to him, 'Welcome to England!'
"Now he has his first assist and his first little scar. That's absolutely OK."
