Liverpool braced for fresh Salah bid as Saudis plan to exploit Klopp exit

Liverpool rejected an eye-watering £200million bid for Salah from Al-Ittihad last summer, but the 'Egyptian King' remains the Saudi Ministry of Sport's top target.

They believe they can take advantage of Klopp's announcement he is quitting Anfield at the end of the season by prising Salah away from Merseyside.

By the time the summer transfer window opens, the 31-year-old will be in the final year of his lucrative Liverpool contract and a fresh bid from Saudi Arabia is as good as guaranteed.Salah is not the only Liverpool star whose future is in doubt following Klopp's exit bombshell after star defender Virgil van Dijk admitted he 'did not know' if he would be a part of the club's new era.

Goalkeeper Alisson is also a long-term Saudi target.

Mangala exit to raise vital Forest funds

Nottingham Forest are expected to cash in on midfielder Orel Mangala.

The Tricky Trees are weighing up an offer worth £30m from French club Lyon and taking the money helps ease Forest's concerns over being hit with more Profit and Sustainability charges by the Premier League.

Mangala cost Forest just £10.5m from Stuttgart in the summer of 2022 and has been a regular starter this season.

His departure would also free up funds to allow Nuno Espirito Santo to strengthen his squad in the final 72 hours of the transfer window with West Ham's Maxwell Cornet and Borussia Dortmund midfielder Gio Reyna high on his wanted list.

Forest are also pushing to sign England goalkeeper Sam Johnstone having had an initial loan bid rejected by Crystal Palace.

Leicester price Brighton out of buying star player

Leicester have slapped a £40m price tag on Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall, which is likely to end Brighton's pursuit of the midfielder.

As talkSPORT reported on Friday, Brighton held talks with the Foxes last week in the hope of striking a deal, but Leicester's valuation for the 25-year-old is much higher than the Seagulls anticipated.

Brentford, Fulham and Everton have also identified Dewsbury-Hall as a player of interest but he is not pushing to leave his boyhood club as they are fighting to regain Premier League status.

Dewsbury-Hall has a contract at the King Power Stadium until 2027.

Brooks departure leads to Bournemouth recall

Bournemouth have cut short Romain Faivre's loan spell at sister club Lorient to fill the void left by David Brooks' departure to Southampton.

The Cherries paid £13m to sign Faivre from Lyon in the summer before immediately loaning the midfielder to Lorient, for whom he played 17 games this season, scoring five goals.

Bournemouth boss Andoni Iraola was not willing to sanction Brooks's exit without sourcing a replacement.

Iraola was happy to keep Brooks but the Welsh international pushed to leave after finding his Premier League game-time limited.
