The 24-year-old played second fiddle to Jordi Alba for the majority of the 2020-21 campaign and made a paltry 18 appearances across all competitions, scoring one goal and setting up one more in La Liga.
Amid reports that Barca may have to cut £171m from their wage bill if Lionel Messi commits to a new deal, Firpo is thought to be one of the players on the chopping block as the cash-strapped Catalans battle debts of up to €1bn (£859m).
AC Milan are thought to be leading the race for Firpo's signature, but according to Mundo Deportivo, Leeds are also keen to strike a deal for the former Real Betis man.
The report adds that Firpo has no intention of remaining in La Liga for the 2021-22 season, but Milan could still win the race for his signature due to their desire to complete a loan deal with an obligation to buy.
West Ham United, Southampton, Fiorentina and Napoli have also been credited with an interest in Firpo, who has scored two goals and assisted three more in 41 appearances for the Blaugrana, and his deal at Camp Nou does not expire until 2024.
