How France could line up against Scotland

France manager Didier Deschamps is likely to ring the changes when his side welcome Scotland to the Stade Pierre-Mauroy for an international friendly on Tuesday.

Les Bleus qualified for Euro 2024 with two games to spare by beating the Netherlands 2-1 on Friday, where a Kylian Mbappe brace did the damage before Quilindschy Hartman's consolation.

The Paris Saint-Germain forward now sits on 42 strikes for Les Bleus - overtaking Michel Platini with his Dutch double - but it would not come as a surprise to see him rested in Lille.

Ousmane Dembele was only deemed fit enough for the bench on Friday following a minor injury scare, but the ex-Barcelona man should be fine to take his place in the XI here, likely with Olivier Giroud, Antoine Griezmann and Kingsley Coman completing the attack.

A rejigged midfield could also see Youssouf Fofana and Eduardo Camavinga handed opportunities to impress in the centre of the park, although Aston Villa's Boubacar Kamara is another viable option.

Deschamps lost all of William Saliba, Axel Disasi, Jules Kounde and Dayot Upamecano to injuries before the win over the Netherlands, and a lack of left-back options should see Theo Hernandez continue on that side.

However, Malo Gusto - who made his debut as a substitute on Friday - could now earn his first start on the right-hand side, while Benjamin Pavard and Jean-Clair Todibo will be bidding to earn minutes in central defence, potentially as a shield to Brice Samba.
