With just a point from their past three games, Fürth are running out of time to revive dwindling hopes of survival, and the margin of error is reducing for Stefan Leitl's men. He has not been helped by the suspension of Sebastian Griesbeck for the visit of Leipzig. He will be replaced by Maximilian Bauer in defence, while there is a doubt over the involvement of Jeremy Dudziak, which could open the door for a return to the starting XI for Green. The US forward last started a game in the 4-0 defeat to Borussia Mönchengladbach on Matchday 12 and has made six substitute appearances since, with Havard Nielsen earning the nod in recent games - a decision which Leitl may stick to again this Sunday.

Leipzig were given a bye to the quarter-finals of the Europa League and consequently avoided a tiring, long journey on Thursday, allowing them to prepare for their trip to Bavaria with a full week of training in their legs. They will be keen on picking up the pace again when they get back into action on Sunday after a 1-1 draw with Freiburg stalled their previous progress of three straight wins.
