Granit Xhaka has invited an American Arsenal fan to their New Years' Day game with Manchester City after their clash with Wolves was postponed.
The Gunners, who currently occupy fourth spot, beat Norwich City on Boxing Day but had their game with Wolves two days later postponed due to a Covid outbreak.
It left Jack Robinson devastated as he was jetting over from St Louis, Missouri.
He and his wife were crossing the Atlantic to celebrate 10 years of marriage and were looking forward to seeing a game.
But they thought their dreams were shattered just before boarding their flight.
Robinson said on Twitter : "This one hurts so bad, I have had this planned and booked for well over 6 months, first the summer tour was cancelled on me now this game, lost for words, sick, its me and my wife's 10 year anniversary, wanted to show her something special something she can remember forever".
Xhaka, a former club captain, saw the news and was quick to try and rectify the situation.

The Gunners host champions City on January 1 and the Swiss star hoped to offer the couple a chance to fulfil their dream.
"Hi Jack, I just got home from the game and I have seen your tweets that you and your wife were flying over from America for our game against Wolves," Xhaka wrote on Instagram, via football.london.
"I could see you were upset about the game being cancelled as you had waited a long time to fly over to watch us.
"If you are still in London on the 1st [January] Arsenal vs Manchester City game as my guest to thank you for your dedication to Arsenal. Would that be good for you?"
Robinson later responded: "Words can't express how I feel at this time, you reaching out to us... you don't understand what this means."
He went on to hail Xhaka for his gesture, adding: "Unreal last 7 hours, i cant even begin to say how speechless i with this club, this means the absolute world to me and my wife.
"Absolute dream. I cant thank Granit Xhaka enough for reaching out and coming through like the hero he is."
Mikel Arteta's Arsenal hit five past Norwich in their last outing but now begin a challenging run of games.
Having lost their opening three fixtures the north Londoners look to be back on track with their summer signings proving their worth.
The Gunners occupy the final Champions League spot, which is beyond what was expected of them.
City are next up before several cup commitments sandwich their next league game, a north London derby against fellow top four hopefuls Tottenham.
