Coventry City are looking to hand a deal to former Chelsea youngster Charlie Colkett.
The 24-year-old is without a club after leaving Swedish side Ostersunds. Mirror Sport understands Colkett is now training with the Sky Blues and that the Championship club are keen to hand him a permanent deal this summer.
Midfielder Colkett was highly-rated at Stamford Bridge, winning the FA Youth Cup and UEFA Youth league whilst also representing England from under-16s level to under-20s.
But he failed to make the grade at senior level and after being loaned out numerous times he moved to Sweden in January 2019.
Now though, the club who Brighton chief Graham Potter transformed into Europa League contenders, are said to be struggling with finances.
The Sky Blues recently secured Championship survival in their first season back in the second tier.
Mark Robins' side will start next season back in Coventry after a deal was announced to return to the Ricoh Arena. They host Millwall on Saturday in their final game of the campaign.
