The Hoops are still within touching distance of qualifying for the last 16 of the Europa League sitting third in Group G after three matches.
A win over Ferencvarosi would all but ensure Celtic will at least earn a spot in the Europa Conference League for the next stage of the competition.
And three points would also potentially put them just behind either Real Betis or Bayer Leverkusen in second should there be a victor in that game.
Ferencvarosi v Celtic: Date and time
The Europa League clash is due to take place on Thursday, November 4.
It will be played at the Groupama Arena in Budapest, Hungary with a UK kick-off time of 8pm.
Celtic next travel to Germany to take on Leverkusen before they finish their group-stage journey at home to Real Betis.

Ferencvarosi v Celtic: Team news
David Siger is the only injury concern for the hosts who otherwise have a clean bill of health as they look for their first points of the group stage.
Celtic defender Carl Starfelt will miss Thursday's crunch tie with a hamstring injury he sustained during the draw with Livingston on Saturday.
Tomas Rogic is also out while the away side are missing Greg Taylor, Karamoko Dembele and Christopher Julien as well.
"In the last game we lost Carl Starfelt so the kind of recovery is a similar timeline to Tommy (Rogic) I guess," Postecoglou said.
"We're hoping he'll be back after the international break but he'll definitely miss these two games.
"Everyone else got through the game okay, Jamesy (Forrest) got his first for a while and got through the game okay.
"Everyone else has trained well."
Ferencvarosi v Celtic: What has been said?
Postecoglou: "It's always a blow when you lose players to injury.
"Since the start of the year we've been hit with certain injuries but to be fair to Carl he's played every game since he's got here and it's not surprising he's had something like this happen.
"We'd have loved to have rotated him earlier but we were trying to build some cohesion and consistency with our back-four.
"We didn't want to chop and change too much.
"It would've been great to get him through this kind of spell and then with the international break give him the chance to recover.
"But it's disappointing to lose him. We've got options. Welshy (Stephen Welsh) has been raring to go. He's been unfortunate not to get the opportunity to play again because whenever he has played he's been very good for us.
"Nir (Bitton) can slip back in there, too, so lots of options."
