The club are looking for a new man to take charge following the resignation of Markus Anfang during an investigation into the 47-year-old.
The investigation over Anfang was due to the manager potentially providing the club with a fake COVID-19 vaccination certificate.
Before the investigation was completed the Werder Bremen boss resigned leaving the club ninth in the German second division.
It's the latest piece of football news to have come out of Germany in relation to COVID-19 vaccinations.
Five Bayern Munich players including Joshua Kimmich and ex-Arsenal winger Serge Gnabry were told by the club that for each day they have to self isolate, they would have their wages docked because of their refusal to receive a vaccination against the virus.
With Anfang no longer in charge at Gnabry's old club, Werder Bremen are now looking for a new manager.
According to German sources DeichStube and Die Ziet the club are considering Farke and will make a decision in the next few days.
The 45-year-old was recently sacked by the Canaries and was replaced by ex-Aston Villa boss Dean Smith, who won his first game in charge against Southampton.
