Thierry Henry is being considered as the next Bordeaux boss, according to reports in France.
The ex-Arsenal star has not held a top job since leaving Montreal Impact.
Prior to that he was in charge at Monaco, the club where he started his career, but was sacked after just three months.
Henry remains an assistant to Roberto Martinez at Belgium, but could return to day-to-day management.
Bordeaux have struggled this term and are second from bottom in Ligue 1 with just 17 points.
As a result current boss Vladimir Petkovic faces an uncertain future and RMC Sport understand that club president Gerard Lopez sees Henry as an ideal candidate to replace him.

It is reported that this weekend's game with Strasbourg could spell the end for Petkovic should the result go against them.
Belgium may be reluctant to let Henry leave in what is a World Cup year having already rejected Everton's approach for Martinez.
Bordeaux remain an ambitious club despite the threat of relegation.
Henry would represent a gamble however but has previously worked under the likes of Pep Guardiola and Arsene Wenger.
The Frenchman has previously opened up on his style, insisting he is having to adapt to the current generation having retired almost a decade ago.
"I was educated in a certain way, but the new generation is now re-educating me," he told FourFourTwo.
"What I knew for a fact and was sure about since I was young, it's totally different today. You open a door for someone these days and it's almost like you're a king. I do it because I'm polite and that's how it should be.
"Back in the days I played, whether it was right or wrong, if you didn't play, then you had your answer. You don't play, so figure it out. Now the coach has to come to you, explain why you didn't play, but that you might play in two days.
"A coach is more of a philosopher now - a bad guy when you need to be a bad guy, but also your best friend. The psychology of the game has evolved a lot.
"You can never say to a player any more, 'Shut up and run'. 'Can I have an explanation?' 'No.' The only explanation you needed back in the day was, 'You're not playing, so figure it out.' You can't do that now."
