Having helped breathe new life into City's title bid, De Bruyne was substituted for Kalvin Phillips with three minutes to play, and headed for the closest touchline.
Making his way back to the dugouts, the Belgian grinned as he dodged flying bottles from the crowd, which could have caused serious harm had they landed.
Two of those bottles appeared to be PRIME branded Ice Pop and Tropical Punch flavours.

The drink brand was founded by YouTubers Logan Paul and KSI, with the latter a huge Arsenal fan.
So much so that the English celebrity boxer secured a dream deal with the Gunners to become an official partner of the club.
Adverts for the drink appear on hoardings at the Emirates around the ground, and it's also for sale at the stadium.

Paul and KSI's fame saw prices for the drink skyrocket in the UK, being sold for £100 a bottle at its peak.
However, Arsenal fans clearly don't value the drink as much as some do, happily losing it on the turf as they unacceptably showed their disdain to De Bruyne.

The City man, though, simply posted a picture on his Instagram story afterwards with the caption: 'Beer anyone?'
