Last month, it was reported that Mbeumo was attracting interest from the likes of Arsenal, Manchester City and Liverpool.
The Cameroon international is garnering plenty of attention after making an impressive start to the 2024-25 season.
Mbeumo has racked up six goals in eight Premier League appearances, leaving him in second place in the scoring charts alongside Chelsea's Cole Palmer.
Arsenal plotting Mbeumo move
Brentford head coach Thomas Frank has admitted that Mbeumo's form and ability will likely earn him a move to a bigger club in the future.
There is a possibility that such a transfer could happen sooner rather than later, with Football Insider reporting that Arsenal are planning a move to sign Mbeumo in the January transfer window.
However, they may find it tough to prise him away from the Gtech Community Stadium because Brentford are reluctant to sanction a sale midway through the season.
Mbeumo has entered the final two years of his Brentford contract, but the club hold the option to extend by a further year to 2027.
Why are Arsenal considering Mbeumo?
Arsenal are said to be impressed by Mbeumo's versatility, with the 26-year-old able to play as a winger, centre-forward or second striker.
There is a belief that signing someone of Mbeumo's quality would add strength in depth and reduce their dependency on Bukayo Saka.
The England international missed the defeat to Bournemouth through injury, and his absence ultimately leaves a sizeable hold in Mikel Arteta's side.
Mbeumo would provide Arsenal with cover for Saka, while he would also add to Arteta's current wide options which include Gabriel Martinelli, Leandro Trossard and Raheem Sterling.
