Manchester United's Alex Telles has made it clear he isn't going anywhere this summer amid rumours of a loan move to Roma.
Jose Mourinho is looking for a replacement left-back as Leonardo Spinazzola ruptured his Achilles while on international duty at Euro 2020.
While Telles has lost out on game time for United due to the good form of Luke Shaw, it has been reported the club have blocked a loan offer from Roma.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side are said to be open to offers for the 28-year-old but are only interested in permanent deals.
Telles himself seems happy at the Premier League side, telling the club website: "It's a pleasure to be at Manchester United coming into my second season.
"Last season, we came really close to winning trophies, so we go into this next season with a lot of desire and I really want to show my work and my value here at the club."
United lost on penalties to Villarreal in the Europa League final and came second in the Premier League last season to bring manager Solskjaer close to his first trophy in charge.
The boss will be aiming for a piece of silverware in the 21/22 campaign and the club are gearing up for it with five pre-season friendlies.
The first will be against Derby on Sunday and Telles added about facing Wayne Rooney's men: "I'm really looking forward to the game, I'm going into the game with a lot of desire.
"I think it's a really great opportunity for us players who have been here for the last two weeks.
"It's going to be a tough test but we're really well prepared for it. We've been working really hard in training today, and this last week, and I believe it's an opportunity to show my value my quality and my potential here at Manchester United.
"I know Manchester United Football Club and the fans really believe in me."
United legend Rooney has also spoken about the fixture and about how challenging it will be.
He told Rams TV: "We've had time to work on how we want to play and it has been a very positive week, which will be rounded off with a very difficult game against Manchester United on Sunday.
"This week was all about getting the work in and taking on board the messages we're trying to get across to them.
"It's my first pre-season with the group and preparing the team, so we're excited for the season to start.
"I think it will be a good game for us and I am aware it won't be Manchester United's full-strength team.
"They will still have some very good and experienced players playing, that have played at the highest level and in tournaments in their careers, alongside some talented youngsters too.
"It is the first step of us trying to play in a slightly different way, so I'm excited to see that."
