But which of the many stunning goals were breathtaking enough to earn a nomination for FIFA's Goal of the Tournament?

Argentina were crowned World Cup champions for the first time in 36 years on Sunday night as they beat France on penalties.
But only one of La Seleccion's stars got themselves a place in the list of nominees from this year's tournament - and it wasn't Lionel Messi. There was a goal against Argentina included in there, too.
Meanwhile, runners up France have been nominated once - and it's no surprise it's one of Golden Boot winner Mbappe's goals.

England haven't had a look in, either - with Marcus Rashford's sublime free-kick against Wales from 20 yards out not making the cut.

It's no surprise Tottenham star Richarlison's bicycle kick against Serbia - which was branded as 'one of the greatest goals in World Cup history' - was included in FIFA's top 10 goals of the tournament.
Likewise Saudi Arabia's winning goal against Argentina in the group stage not only rocked faith in La Seleccion to win the competition, but was already an incredible strike from the edge of the box.
South Korea's Paik Seung-Ho's rocket from well outside the area after he was left unmarked from a free-kick against Brazil in the Round of 16 was a memorable screamer, too.
