Manchester United will be aiming to book their spot in the quarter-finals of the EFL Cup when they take on Championship side Burnley on Wednesday night.

The Red Devils were last in competitive action on November 13, recording a 2-1 victory over Fulham in the Premier League, with the season then coming to a halt for the 2022 World Cup.

However, the 20-time English champions played two mid-season friendlies earlier this month, losing to both Cadiz and Real Betis in Spain.
