La Albiceleste were crowned World Cup champions for the first time since 1986 on Sunday night as they beat 2018 winners France on penalties after a thrilling game that ended 3-3 in extra time.

But despite playing over two hours of football on Sunday, the Argentina stars clearly still weren't sick of it, as they stayed up to face each other in a game of FIFA.

Footage posted by Argentina and Aston Villa goalkeeper Emiliano Martinez on Instagram shows the pair sat on recliner chairs, still in their Argentina strips, playing the video game.

Hilariously, both Premier League players had sunglasses on, too.

The ex-Arsenal 'keeper - who had saved Kingsley Coman's penalty in the shootout - explains in Spanish in the video of his pals that it's 6am in the morning in Qatar.

Man United defender Martinez then turns to the camera and waves his arms in the air - clearly still running on the high of being crowned a world champion despite it being nearly 12 hours since kick-off.

The pair have come a long way since their first forays into club football - Martinez at Newell's Old Boys in Rosario and Romero at Belgrano.

Newell's even posted a photo of them together in 2016 after reserve game alongside their early morning virtual kickabout.

Despite them choosing a more chilled setting in the video, it's likely they had a good old party with their teammates after their wild celebrations in the changing room following the game.

That's what the shades would suggest, anyway…
