The Red Devils are sat in fifth, three points off the top four and will know a good January window could change their fortunes.
There are expected to be a few outgoings, while there could be several incomings as Ten Hag prepares his side for the second half of the season.
With that in mind, talkSPORT.com brings you all the latest transfer news from Old Trafford.

Cody Gakpo
Manchester United are preparing to launch a £43m bid for PSV Eindhoven's Gakpo.
The Telegraph report that Ten Hag sees the versatile Dutchman as the perfect replacement for Ronaldo.
The Red Devils were interested in Gakpo in the summer, but after a sensational start to the season and a brilliant World Cup, Man United have decided to make their move.

The 23-year-old has already directly contributed to 30 goals for PSV this season, while he grabbed three goals in Qatar for Louis van Gaal's side.
Other clubs are interested, but playing at Old Trafford under Ten Hag should be a big draw for the forward.
Jude Bellingham

Bellingham was one of the best midfielders at the World Cup and his performances have drawn interest from Europe's biggest clubs.
And Man United are ready to reignite their interest in the Borussia Dortmund star.
The Athletic report the Red Devils will try to sign Bellingham again, two and a half years after initially missing out on his signature.
Ten Hag believes that Bellingham's displays went up a level in Qatar and now wants to build his side around him.

But they will face stern competition from Liverpool, Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain.
Frenkie de Jong
The Dutchman was the club's top transfer target all last summer, but he was reluctant to join the Red Devils.

There were also mixed messages coming out of Barcelona as they pivoted from him being available, due to their financial woes, to him being integral to their squad.
It was believed they had agreed a £80m fee for De Jong, before issues surrounding unpaid wages owed to him from Barca scuppering the transfer.
Now however, it appears the 25-year-old has told his former Ajax boss he would be happy to join him at United, report the Mirror.

Marcus Thuram
Manchester United have been linked with a move for former France international Lilian Thuram's son.
The Borussia Monchengladbach forward's contract expires in the summer of 2023 and Bild are reporting he will be available to buy for just £10m.
The 25-year-old was a part of the French team that reached the final of the 2022 World Cup and he made five appearances for Les Bleus in Qatar.

Thuram has scored ten goals in 15 Bundesliga appearances this season and could provide Ten Hag with a different attacking option, given his size and power.
Aaron Wan-Bissaka
talkSPORT understands that Wan-Bissaka has emerged as a target for Wolves.

The right-back has made just one appearance for Ten Hag's men this season, lasting just four minutes.
West Ham are also keen on the 25-year-old, whose career has steadily declined since leaving Crystal Palace in a £50m deal in the summer of 2019.
Harry Maguire

Maguire enjoyed a great World Cup with England, turning in five top displays as the Three Lions made it to the quarter-finals.
However, he is well down the pecking order at Old Trafford and Jamie O'Hara would love to see him at Tottenham.
He also believes Spurs could sign the former Leicester man for around £40m - half of what Man United paid to get him initially.
Speaking to talkSPORT, O'Hara said: "Manchester United are going to lose money.

"Say Spurs come in for him in January, I'd take him at Tottenham by the way. We need a centre-half.
"They're not going to get anywhere near the £80million they paid for him.
"If they get somewhere near half of that I think that's where you're at."
