Wood has also become only the second Nottingham Forest player to score three in one game in the Premier League.
The frontman has followed in the footsteps of Kevin Campbell, who managed it in 1996.
Forest's win was Nuno's first in charge and the club's first in five as they took a step towards turning their form around this season.
The important three points moved them clear of the relegation zone and they'll have Wood to thank for his incredible hat-trick.
